After the successful completion of the Standalone Branches across it felt quite natural to be asked by our client Alinma to design their regional branch in Al Khobar KSA. The building was to include a 10 storeys of commercial office space, and incorporate a retail branch street level.

Even after the success of the regional branches, it was important to find another strong concept that would that would suit the scale. In this instance the Alinma Atrium was developed to replace the iconic 24/7 street, with a vertical atrium space inspired in its shape by the form Alinma’s distinctive ‘aleph’ brandmark, it was designed to engage all the levels of the building as well be utilised to naturally heat and cool the building. Externally the glass box is wrapped in a masheryba framework derived from the geometric patterns also established in the brandmark.
