Perhaps alot of us dream of getting away from the stresses of modern life. A place where the mobile phone and laptop can be switched off, a place to relax, catch up with family and friends or just let our minds rest a little and look out onto a beautiful panoramic view. When long standing friend of the studio Erdogan approached us to design his country house in his hometown village it was a chance to day dream a little and create an oasis of calm in the Turkish countryside.

The plot is romantically scattered with the stone rubble of an old farm building where he played as a child and nestled in the heart of a small village of called Pazarbeleni in the Sivas Province Turkey. The area which is located at the eastern part of the Central Anatolian region of Turkey is reknown for its spectacular views of the mountains, long hot dry summers and cold snowy winters with temperatures reaching as high as 40˚C and as low as -30˚C.

  1. Wow, simple, elegant & just beautiful.

Nothing beats simplicity when it comes to striking a balance between neutral surfaces and natural materials.
